Fans will miss Piolo Pascual once again. Yesterday, he's at the airport to fly off to Milan for the screening of his latest movie, Love Me Again. Piolo should have been with Angel in that event. But unfortunately, the actress is still recuperating from sickness.

So Piolo is going to be alone in welcoming the hordes of Filipino fans in Milan, Italy for the said screening. Piolo's next project after this successful movie is a concert slated February 21. Piolo Pascual and Mom Amelia on Deal or No Deal

Piolo Pascual met with the Banker again. But this time, Piolo brought a lucky charm with him - his mom. Last time around, Piolo won a measly Php 500 on Deal or No Deal. This is Piolo's second duel with the banker.

This is also the first TV appearance for Piolo Pascual's mother, Amelia. Mom Amelia is always content to cheer on her son and support him in his shows, movies, and concerts. It's a different story with this episode though. Mom was the star and heartthrob Piolo a mere side kick.

Piolo and his mom chose briefcase no. 24. The number is actually the birthday of Piolo's grandparents. On the end part of the game, Kris asked Piolo to pick one briefcase. He chose to pass the task to his brother, who opened the Php 200 briefcase. Apparently, Piolo doesn't want to be blamed if he opened the 100,000 That amount was the biggest on board, after Piolo's mom opened the $1M briefcase.

There were two cases left on the floor and three amounts on the board, the Php 1 peso, Php 25,000 and the biggest amount, Php 100,000. Kris asked Piolo once again to open a briefcase. Still apprehensive, Piolo said "pagnabuksan ko ang 100,000 aabonohan ko na lang."

Piolo needs to choose between briefcases numbers are 12 and 13. He chose 12 because it's his birthday. Luckily for him, he opened the 1 peso briefcase. And that's the highlight of the show. Mom Amelia fought for her briefcase til the very end. And so she and Piolo walked away with 100,000. It's the amount contained in their chosen case.

The Box Office Results are In for Love Me Again

The Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin starrer, Love Me Again's gross income for its first two weeks in the cinemas are out, courtesy of Box Office Mojo. Love Me Again scored a not bad 29.4M during its first week of showing. On its second week, it earned more to bring the total gross of the movie for two weeks to more than 53 million.

Fans can't help but compare the performance of Love Me Again to rival film One True Love, starring Angel's nemesis. While the first week of showing seems to be in favor of the latter, Love Me Again did not lose as much momentum on box office sales during its second week. In fact, it now has surpassed One True Love's second week gross. And please don't blame it on Twilight. Scaregiver faired better than One True Love the same week in November. Piolo Pascual Gearing for Lovers In Paris

With the success of Love Me Again out of the way, Piolo Pascual will start yet another chapter in his showbiz career. After being paired with Angel Locsin for more than a year, he now heads on to be KC Concepcion's leading man.

Piolo and KC had started a few sequences of their projects together. They will be doing the Filipino version of the hit Korean series, Lovers in Paris. The project is supposed to be Piolo and Angel's second team-up. But then, KC seemed to be more fitting actress for the role as she has lived for more than four years in Paris. No other person is more familiar with the Paris way of living other than KC herself.

However, there's minimal news about this new teleserye because KC is busy promoting her film with Richard Gutierrez, entitled When I Met You. Piolo and KC will do a movie together as well, but it is going to be filmed soon. Hopefully, it will be shown during the last quarter of the year.

The Debate is On: 15 Million or 5.8 Million Love Me Again First Day Gross?

Fans are raving. The detractors are graving. This is the scenario as far as Love Me Again's first day gross is concerned. A local tabliod entertainment columnist, Allan Diones, claimed that the Piolo-Angel starrer raked in a mere Php 5.8 million nationwide on its first day. He said it was according to a very reliable source. The figure is printed in his column at Abante Tonite.

On the other side, there were unofficial reports that Piolo's movie with Angel grossed a big Php 15 million on its first day. While that number is quite high, it is not that unbelievable, considering the way the people flocked in to its premiere at SM Megamall. On its first day of showing, there were two theaters for Love Me Again in almost all SM Cinemas. Why? To accommodate the influx of movie goers all eager to watch Piolo and Angel on the big screen. I myself watched on the first day. I would say that the number of people is twice as much as I expected. The Php 5.8 million figure is way too low for what I have seen. They should have raised it to Php 8 million at least, to make it a little believable.

However, the people behind Star Cinema is mum about the movie's official box office sales on its first day. Today, Love Me Again marks its second week of showing. No figures from the producers are out yet. Is this a strategy? Or a marketing study? Remember that Star Cinema didn't release first day gross values of the Sarah-John Lloyd movie, A Very Special Love either. But it was the strongest last year, before Ai-Ai's MMFF entry, Ang Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat.

Bottomline? 5.8 million or 15 million, it really doesn't matter. The movie was watched and flocked by many Angel Locsin and Piolo Pascual fans. It wouldn't take away the fact that it was a good movie with great cinematography and superb acting. It's worth your money, especially if you're a fan. I'd watch it over again if I could.

More on Piolo Pascual's son Inigo, Piolo confirmed that he want to join showbiz too. Aged 11, Inigo is in the U.S. studying grade school. He will be graduating this year. Despite Piolo's qualms, he actually gave in to his son's request.

Piolo Pascual's Love Me Again First Day Gross

Rumors has it that Love Me Again has figured a mere Php 5.8 million during its first day of showing. This figure is a far cry from Star Cinema's strong movies, like Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz's A Very Special Love and MMFF's entry Ang Tanging Ina Nyong Lahat.

Even so, if the numbers were indeed true, it is still a good showing for the Piolo-Angel starer, which will parked for now as the two will pair it off with other artists.

However, the source of the Php 5.8 million first day gross is merely "a very reliable source". Star Cinema is yet to come up with the official announcement as to how well the movie really faired. On the other end of the grapevine though, there were claims that the movie grossed anywhere from Php 15M to Php 16M on its first day.

But basing on the premiere night turn out of Love Me Again and the way movie goers really flocked into the cinemas last January 15, the low national first day gross seemed to be just a rumor and nothing else. It seems that the fans of the team up are getting uneasy as to how much the movie really made on its first showing day.

Love Me Again: A Blogger's Review

What can I say about the movie? It's one of the better films Star Cinema has created, nonetheless. And I'm saying that because I'm a fan. The story is well written. You can feel the emotions in every word that Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin say. It's a love story at its best.

The scenery of Bukidnon is the perfect backdrop. The cool and calm mountains of the province adds more to the beauty of the story. Of course, Australia is beautiful too. But there, the city is not depicted as a place to be. It is Bukidnon where the two lovers finally found their home.

The acting is superb. Piolo gives out his best performance, like in all of his movies. Angel, on the other hand, is a revelation to this film. You can see the big improvement in her acting style.

Everybody seeking love and lost it should come and see the movie. It's the best new year opener and the wait is truly worth it. Catch Piolo and Angel in Love Me Again at a cinema near you.

The result was almost predicted. Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin's film, Love Me Again is a certified success. It premiered in SM Megamall last January 14 and fans just kept flowing to the place. This forced the cinema organizers to close down the venue. As such, Piolo was airing his apologies to everyone that was affected. There were lots of fans who are still trying to catch the premiere that were not given a chance to come near the place, even.

Piolo Pascual's Maynila Will Hit Theaters in March

Although not yet certain, Piolo Pascual's indie film Maynila may just hit the screen come March. But Piolo said it is possible that the film will be shown late February. This is the scheduled play date of the movie, as his major film this new year, Love Me Again will be shown in Philippine theaters come January 15. The play date of Maynila is moved to give way to his movie under Star Cinema, his home studio.

Piolo is a co-producer of this film, which also stars Rosanna Roces, Jodi Sta. Maria, Alessandra De Rossi, and Baron Geisler among others. It is a twin bill, so fans would have much of Piolo as he stars in two different stories. Maynila is an adaptation of Lino Brocka's film of the same title and Jaguar.
