DPWH ordered the tearing down of billboards along the major highways that has explicit themes or those that can cause distraction to the drivers on moving traffic. Many of sexually-themed billboards are already taken down. But even those that features actors and actresses donning sexy outfits are being considered as well.
Most advertisers voluntarily took their billboards down, even if they are not requested by the said government department. One such billboard removed was Piolo Pascual's San Mig billboard, which pictures him wearing just a pair of pants and no shirt. He was joined by a Fil-Am model in the ad and she's wearing a blue swimsuit.
