Piolo Pascual Back at ASAP '08

After several weeks of absence, Piolo Pascual is finally back at ASAP '08, the most favorite afternoon party of Philippine viewers. Piolo Pascual is doing a movie with Angel Locsin, entitled Land Down Under and they both have to fly to Australia to shoot several scenes. This is the reason why Piolo was absent for several weeks in his regular show.

Piolo made it in time for Ogie Alcasid's concert, which was held on September 27, where he is one of the special guests. Piolo is expected to stay around for a few weeks and will be away again to complete the movie and for the Heartthrob European series concert that is slated to start in October.

Piolo's Dream Date is Winona Ryder

When asked by PEP who will be the woman in Piolo Pascual's dream date, Piolo didn't even wince when he said, Winona Ryder. Winona Ryder, the female lead star of the 90's movie Reality Bites is also the one with the most angelic face in Hollywood. Incidentally, Winona Ryder's newest film is The Private Lives of Pippa Lee with no other than Keanu Reeves. Other than Winona Ryder, Piolo said he also want to be with Natalie Portman.

On the local area, Piolo said he would like to date Angel Locsin, Kristine Hermosa, Nikki Gil, Claudine Barretto, Bea Alonzo, and Sarah Geronimo. However, his ultimate crush in local showbiz is really Ina Raymundo.

"Manila" is in Post Production

Piolo Pascual has successfully finished "Manila", his third indie film yet. This film is a twin bill inspired by the two late Filipino directors Ishmael Bernal and Lino Broca. The movie is co-produced by Piolo and he is joined by equally talented stars such as Rosanna Roces, Jodi Sta. Maria, Alessandra de Rosi, Baron Geisler, Angelica Panganiban, and William Martinez among others. The movie is set to be shown on theaters very soon.

Kahit Isang Saglit is a Piolo Pascual Movie

Kahit Isang Saglit, which have aired last Monday had a fairly successful ran this week. Incidentally, the title of this new ABS-CBN teleserye was also Gilbert Perez's first movie under star cinema. That film starred Piolo Pascual and Judy Ann Santos. It was remembered that Piolo, along with Jericho Rosales and other artists bade farewell to the late director on ASAP the week he died.

Piolo Pasual and Angel Locsin Go Sexier

In their new film, expect Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin to don more mature roles. After the success of Lobo, they are now in Darwin, Australia to finish off the movie they started shooting in Bukidnon. The movie can be described as worldly and expect the two stars to go a little bit more daring than usual.

Directed by Rory Quintos, the film is tentatively entitled "Land Down Under". Expected play date is on November of this year.

Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby Live in Zurich

All Heartthrob fans in Zurich, Switzerland can now have a night out with these two most loved Philippine hunks. Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby will kick off their European Heartthrob tour in Zurich on October 31 of this year. Venue will be at the Spirgaten Hotel, Am Lindenplatz. Show will start at 7:30pm. Pokwang will also join Piolo and Sam in this tour.

Piolo Pascual Not Threatened By Richard Gutierrez

With the success of the Star Cinema movie "For the First Time" starring Richard Gutierrez and KC Conception, buzz has been going on about the possibility of Richard's transfer to ABS-CBN. While that is still far from truth as Richard is on contract with GMA-7 for two more years, speculations didn't stop, especially when Richard's mom and manager was not too thrilled about GMA's move to schedule Dingdong and Marian's long overdue birthday celebration at the big dome just in time with Richard and KC's premiere night.

On that note, Piolo Pascual, one of ABS-CBN's leading men, said that he finds no issue in himself if Richard indeed, chooses to transfer to ABS-CBN. He said that it would benefit everybody anyway. The competition will still be there but there will be more opportunities and jobs for everyone.

Piolo Pascual Wishes for a Movie With Judy Ann Again

Piolo Pascual, who is Australia right now shooting his film with Angel Locsin entitled "Land Down Under" indicated that he has no qualms making a movie with Judy Ann again. In an interview, he said he didn't close his door and that he still wishes that a project with Judy Ann would happen soon.

Piolo has been Judy Ann's leading man for quite some time before until he and Judy Ann's boyfriend Ryan Agoncillo had a rift. They had resolved their differences but still, their paths are yet to meet.

Piolo and Sam will serenade Switzerland, London, and Italy, among many other destinations. They will also be joined by comedienne Pokwang, a regular in their Heartthrobs series of concert. Piolo Pascual is Nominated at the Famas Awards

Once again, Piolo Pascual was able to impress the award-giving bodies with his acting prowess. Just recently, Famas Awards came out with their official list of nominees on their 56th year of evaluating the best and the finest local films. Famas cited Piolo Pascual's Paano Kita Iibigin as a Best Picture nominee. Piolo Pascual and Regine Velasquez are both nominated as Best Actor and Best Actress respectively. Piolo Pascual's "Manila" is a Twin Bill

Piolo Pascual's indie movie "Manila" is actually a twin bill of two Lino Brocka films, "Jaguar" and "Manila By Night". Piolo will star with Alessandra de Rossi and Baron Geisler in this film. This is not another cute movie with happy ending for Piolo. He specifically asked permission from Star Cinema to do this film because he said he wanted a different role and a movie with a different theme. This is Piolo's second indie film to date.

Piolo Pascual Insured for "Land Down Under"

Because Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin has to ride horses in the movie, the two were insured by Star Cinema in the movie entitled "Land Down Under". Still a tentative title, these two Lobo stars will shoot in Bukidnon and Darwin, Australia respectively. Angel said this is the first time she was insured for a movie. She actually had a slipped disc when she fell from the horse she's riding.

Both Piolo and Angel are mum as to how much they are insured for the movie. Tentative showing date of the movie is on November.

Piolo Pascual's New Movie: Land Down Under

It's final. The title of Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin's movie will be "Land Down Under" and not "Austrialia" as it was previously reported. Piolo will play as a cowboy in this movie. Both him and Angel were trained to ride horses, under the supervision of Vic Barba and Mikee Cojuanco. And because riding a horse for a first timer is quite risky, ABS-CBN insured their two stars while making the movie and training at the Manila Polo Club.

The film will be shot both in Australia and the Philippines, more particularly in Bukidnon. "Land Down Under" is directed by critically acclaimed director Rory Quintos and is set to hit the Philippine cinemas in November. This movie is under Star Cinema.
